Volunteers Needed – Meet the Mountains Festival!
The Overmountain Chapter of Trout Unlimited will once again be participating in the Meet the Mountains Festival, and we need your help!
Join us at Winged Deer Park in Johnson City on August 14–15 as we share our passion for coldwater conservation, fly fishing, and community outreach with thousands of festival attendees.
We are looking for volunteers to staff the OMTU booth in 2-hour shifts throughout the event. No previous experience is required—just a willingness to engage with the public and help represent our chapter.
Volunteer Activities
- Talk with visitors about Trout Unlimited and OMTU's conservation, education, and community programs
- Demonstrate simple fly tying techniques at our fly-tying station
- Help teach basic fly-casting skills to festival attendees
- Share information about upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, and membership
