Alta Harris Creek at Eckert Road and Boise River
Volunteers needed to help out the Ted Trueblood TU Chapter- we will be planting 100 or so cottonwood trees grown in one-gallon pots, additional shrubs and brush, and small containers of grasses and other native plants in areas where we recently removed Russian olive trees. We will be providing tools and training needed for the day. You can bring your own tools if you choose to. Dress for forecasted weather and please wear sturdy shoes. Bring your own water and snacks you would like to have for the day. Park at Barber Park on the south side of the river and west of Eckert Road. See the map attached.
Additionally, we need a couple of team captains to visit the area on April 17th with Andy Brunelle (event coordinator) to help identify and flag areas to be planted.
