Come plant willows with us to help recover an historic mine site outside of Silverton! Please bring gloves, water, sunscreen, layers, boots that can get wet and a willingness to get dirty and have fun!
7:45 AM: Initial meet-up / carpool
PJ’s Gourmet Market, at the 550 and Trimble Lane, West side of parking lot

8 AM: Depart PJ’s and drive 1 hour to Silverton
9 AM: Meet at the Silverton Visitor Center
Caravan / car-pool to the Brooklyn Mine
-North on 550 towards Ouray about 15 minutes
-Turn right onto County Road 14
-4-wheel drive road for 2 miles to the site
-Turn right onto County Road 14
-4-wheel drive road for 2 miles to the site
1PM: Lunch break
2PM: More willow planting if needed
3 PM: Drive back to Durango OR enjoy some fishing on the Upper A or Cunningham Gulch...it should be a gorgeous day!
