Volunteer Opportunity- Marianne Williams Park Adopt-A-Habitat Work Day with City of Boise
We have a volunteer project with the City of Boise to do some restoration and maintenance work on our Trout Unlimited Adopt-A-Habitat area – located next to Marianne Williams Park.
We are looking for 20 people so please sign up early.
This is a kid friendly project however due to high spring flows on the Boise please bring kids who are at least 10 years old. Note we will walk 1/8 mile to the project site.
The date is May 10th. Start time at 9:00 am. We should be finished by 11:30 to 12:30.
Location: Marianne Williams Park. We'll meet in the parking lot. Note there are heated restrooms at this park.
Main tasks:
1. Remove bull thistle and spotted knapweed. A plant specialist will provide additional details. See pics below of the two mentioned weeds.
2. We will be picking up the trash that has accumulated over the winter.
3. All of the non-native plants and trash will be moved back to the parking lot for disposal.
