We'll be joining Jim White with CPW and Clay Kampf with USFS to construct a buck-n-rail fence just above the confluence barrier on Hermosa Creek.
The purpose of this project is to discourage fishing from that barrier in order to remove the possibility of non-native fish entering the creek upstream from the barrier.
On Thursday, we'll be gathering and hauling the materials in to erect the fence.
On Friday, we'll be constructing the fence.
This volunteer opportunity is not for the feint of heart. We'll need strong volunteers and those comfortable with full days out on the project site. 5RTU will happily provide lunch as a thank you to whomever can make this event.
We'll meet at PJ's Market and carpool from there.
