UIR Kayak Float - October Outing

October's outing will be on the Upper Illinois River on Saturday, October 17th . The stretch of river for this event will be the public access at Chewey Bridge to the public access point at Round Hollow, approximately 4 river miles. TU420 will have volunteers at the launch site from 9AM –10AM for shuttles. You can drop your watercraft at the launch site, before 10AM, and a TU420 volunteer will help you get your vehicle to the takeout point. At our launch site we'll have snacks and drinks, but for this event we will not coordinate a group meal / lunch.

 

For anyone who doesn't have an option to float, there are many great public access points on the river. Our launch site at Chewey Bridge and the takeout at Round Hollow are only 2 of the 8 public access points on the west side of the river accessible from highway 10.
