TU & Land Trusts: Partnerships for Trout and Salmon Habitat: A CX3 Portland Event
There’s a clear nexus between the preservation of forests and intact watersheds and the health and quality of the trout streams running through them. Since its founding, TU has recognized how critically important the work of land conservation groups is to our mission and have forged many powerful partnerships to ensure land conservation is a major part of our strategy to care for and recover our rivers and streams.
In this special panel presentation from our National Leadership Council’s Land Conservation Workgroup, you will hear from TU staff and volunteers, as well as local land conservation partners how and why we work together, recent successful partnerships and what the future holds for our shared efforts in the face of a rapidly warming climate.
Panelists include:
Bill Pastuszek, Chair, NLC Land Conservancy Workgroup
Paul Doscher, Member, NLC Land Conservancy Workgroup and Grassroots Trustee
Jeff Reardon, Maine Brook Trout Project Director, Trout Unlimited
Steve Tatko, Senior Director of Maine Conservation and Land Management, Appalachian Mountain Club
David Miller, Executive Director, Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust
