Saluda Riverwalk Park Parking Area

Everyone is welcome! Please register using the 'no cost ticketing' process so we will have a good estimate of the number of volunteers to expect.

South Carolina Department of Natural Resources has requesting assistance in bucket stocking 15,000 rainbow and brown trout fingerlings. We will gather at the Saluda Riverwalk parking area to get organized and ready for the arrival of the tank trucks from Walhalla Fish Hatchery. Please arrive at 12:15pm and check in with the Saluda River TU Volunteer Leader, Mike Waddell in the parking area. You should anticipate less than 2 hours of work (depending on the number of volunteers and buckets).

Please bring a 5 gallon bucket, if you have one, and we ask that you wear closed toed shoes or boots that have a good tread for slippery surfaces. Wading boots are highly suggested if you have a pair. Additionally, we suggest bringing a bottle of water, sunscreen, gloves and a hat to protect yourself from the sun.

We will endeavor to provide all volunteers with a Saluda River TU Volunteer T-Shirt.
