Trout in the Classroom and Youth Updates. November 2024 Event

On October 16th, Mike, Andy, David and Gordon picked up fertilized brown trout eggs from the Bath Hatchery and fanned out to deliver them to this year's TIC  schools. This school year there are six Trout in the Classroom programs in our chapter's territory (Naples, Plattsburgh, Penn Yan, Marcus Whitman, Canandaigua and Geneva). 

 

At our November 11th meeting we will give everyone an update on this year's programs and hopefully meet some of the young people who are participating.

 

We will also give you tips on how to fish with streamers on our local tributaries this Fall. If we ask nicely, we may even get "someone" to tie some of these winning streamers prior to the meeting. 

 

We will be meeting at Rio Tomatlan again in Canandaigua, starting at 6:30pm. Chips, salsa and guac will be served as refreshments. Beverages are available from the bar downstairs.
