Join us Tuesday, August 31 for the latest installment of Trout Habitat Tuesday!
This week, we will be building in-stream habitat for trout at Merwin Meadows Park in Wilton. It's fun work standing in the water on a hot day - volunteers of all ages are welcome. Bring friends, family, kids and fishing buddies with you!
The Norwalk River at Merwin Meadows has been totally transformed thanks to dedicated TU volunteers. Over the years, the Mianus Chapter has planted hundreds of trees, created a dozen new pools and riffles, and constructed multiple conifer revetments to combat erosion at Merwin.
Come down Tuesday to help us cut vines and remove invasive species, plus get a preview of future volunteer projects to come this summer!
