Trees for Trout - Volunteers Needed

Join us to install stream bank revetments in the watershed with used Christmas trees.

This January, we collected more than 600 used Christmas trees with our partner - RIDEM Fish and Wildlife - to install stream bank revetments in the Wood-Pawcatuck Watershed. We are seeking volunteers to help us on Thursday August 27th, 2026.

We'll meet at the Arcadia Deer Check Station at 9:30am, and proceed to the selected stream as a group. We typically plan four hours to complete the work and have lunch.

Gloves, cool water and lunch will be provided. Bring your waders or hip boots, bug spray and sunscreen.
