Rhode Island TU and RIDEM Fish & Wildlife partner to collect used Christmas Trees in January and use them to reinforce stream banks. Bring us your used trees and we will unload them from your vehicle. RIDEM will store them until we need them later in the year to install stream bank revetments where they are needed in the watershed.

A few guidelines about the trees:

we can only accept CLEAN trees - no ornaments, fire retardant, tinsel, etcwe
maximum of 5 trees per vehicle

If you have a bulk # of trees, contact us at rhodeislandtu@gmail.com to discuss a date and location.

Volunteers should report to the Arcadia Check Station at 9:30 am. Coffee/donuts will be provided
