TN Council - Coldwater Meeting
The annual Coldwater Meeting and winter business meeting of the Tennessee Council TU will be Saturday, January 28, 2023 at the Tennessee Aquarium Conservation Institute (175 Baylor School Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37405) and all Tennessee TU members are invited.
The TN Council will be providing breakfast and lunch for all in attendance. To participate, please register to ensure that we have enough food.
Starting at 9 a.m. Eastern time, representatives from our partners including Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, Tennessee Valley Authority, US Forest Service, and the US Army Corps of Engineers will be bringing us up-to-date on their coldwater activities.
Afterwards, the council will hold its quarterly business meeting. Items on the agenda include a presentation by Jeff Wright, Southeast regional coordinator for Trout Unlimited, about TU national staff work planned for Tennessee in the upcoming fiscal year.
The council will also hear reports on the John Thurman Smoky Mountain Trout Adventure Camp, Trout in the Classroom, and chapter activities; and will elect officers. We will also consider approval of a post grant report and extension request report for the conservation grant program. To see drafts of the new grant documents, please click here.
