Each month, usually the last Monday of the month, leaders of our Chapter invite everyone to share their fly tying expertise and/or learn how to tie a featured fly. No experience is necessary to get started.
The Tie and Lie gathering is a social engagement as well as an educational experience. Tie and Lie announcements are sent out electronically via our mailing list, same as the monthly newsletter.

This month, Larry Gilbert will be demonstrating the Catskill style Blue Wing Olive. Larry will be tying in a size 14. Come out and join us for a fun evening.

Hook: Dry fly hook size 12 to 24
Thread: 6/0 or 8/0 Olive depending on hook size
Tail: Grey dun hackle
Wing: Dun hackle tips or synthetic fibers
Body: Olive dubbing
