Each month, usually the last Monday of the month, leaders of our Chapter invite everyone to share their fly tying expertise and/or learn how to tie a featured fly. No experience is necessary to get started.
The Tie and Lie gathering is a social engagement as well as an educational experience. Tie and Lie announcements are sent out electronically via our mailing list, same as the monthly newsletter.
Jimmy Jones and Ernie Frey have selected to tie the traditional Parachute Adams in a size 14 this month.  Feel free to come by and tie it in any size you prefer, even a 22!  If anyone wants to join in and doesn't have any tools or materials, contact Ernie Frey at ernest.frey@comcast.net, he'll bring some extras.
Hook: #12-22 dry fly, but we will tie in size 14
Thread: Any color, or to match the body, black, or brown 8/0 for the classic
Tail: Hackle fibers in grizzly and brown
Body: Adams gray dubbing
Post: White calftail (or synthetic)
Hackle: Brown and grizzly
