Each month, usually the last Monday of the month, leaders of our Chapter invite everyone to share their fly tying expertise and/or learn how to tie a featured fly. No experience is necessary to get started.
The Tie and Lie gathering is a social engagement as well as an educational experience. Meeting announcements are sent out electronically via our mailing list, same as the monthly newsletter.
This month's fly will be the Klinkhamer, tied by Tim Flagler at Tightline Videos. 
 
Jimmy Jones will be leading the meeting, with assistance by Ernie Frey.  The recipe is listed below.  If you need any supplies or tools, contact Ernie Frey at ernest.frey@comcast.net.
 
Hook:  Czech Nymph hook, size 12 (or a Klinkhamer hook)
Tread:  6/0, Black
Post/Underbody:  Polypropylene yarn, white
Body:  Super Fine dubbing, orange
Thorax:  Peacock herl
Hackle:  Cream dry-fly hackle, slightly oversize
