The Massachusetts Mayfly Project - Launch Event and Info Session
GBTU is proud to support The Mayfly Project, a national 501(c)(3) organization that uses fly fishing as a catalyst to mentor and support children in foster care. The Mission of The Mayfly Project is to support children in foster care through fly fishing and introduce them to their local water ecosystems, with a hope that connecting them to a rewarding hobby will provide an opportunity for foster children to have fun, build confidence, and develop a meaningful connection with the outdoors.
At GBTU, we are excited about the launch of the Massachusetts Mayfly Project in the spring of 2025. If you are interested in becoming a mentor, participating in a Fly-Tie-A-Thon, making a donation, or just learning more about the Mayfly Project, please join GBTU members and fellow fly anglers at the launch event and info session at the Public Lands store in Framingham on December 14th. There will be a social hour prior to the event with free refreshments followed by a short presentation at 5:30. We hope to see you there.
If you have questions before the event, or are not able to attend, please email massmayflyproject@gmail.com
