The Ted Trueblood Chapter of Trout Unlimitedis pleased to present Mike Peña talking on Fly Fishing with Chironomids. Please join us for this enlightening presentation that will cover the following:
- Life cycle of Midges / Chironomids
- The three key stages of the life cycle and corresponding fishing techniques
- Leader setups for fishing 5 ft to 25 ft deep and indicator selection
- Key foundations for success
Fishing Bio:
Mike Peña has been fly fishing for over 40 years and fly tying for over 25 years. He enjoys still water in the spring/early summer (especially with chironomids), rivers in the summer/fall/winter and occasional salt water trips. He is on the Cortland Fly Line Pro Staffand enjoys sharing his fly fishing knowledgeand learning from others.
