Tune in to learn about and be trained on using the TU RIVERS App - an easy to use photo-documentation tool for volunteers to mark disturbances like excessive erosion, riparian buffer issues, as well as barriers like small dams and culverts on our rivers and streams. These disturbances are geotagged and saved to a map accessible by volunteers and TU Staff to help prioritize habitat restoration projects when funding opportunities arise.
This training session is a part of a larger effort to assess the Farmington River and it's tributaries to help plan future restoration projects.
During the training we'll cover:
TU's RIVERS App
TU REDDS App (spawning redd survey tool)
Different Kinds of Disturbances
Potential Projects
Ways to Get Involved
& More
Don't forget to sign up for upcoming stream survey sessions!
