Tune in to learn about Trout Unlimited's great community science tools to help a river near you! We'll be discussing how to use the RIVERS and REDDS apps to collect important data to get future projects off the ground.

The RIVERS App is an easy to use photo-documentation tool for volunteers to mark disturbances like excessive erosion, riparian buffer issues, as well as barriers like small dams and culverts.

The REDDS App is a great tool to conduct trout spawning redd surveys. This data provides critical information about wild trout populations which allows us to prioritize habitat restoration projects and more effectively advocate for enhanced regulatory protections.

During the training we'll cover:

TU's RIVERS App

TU REDDS App

Different Kinds of Stream Disturbances

Spawning Redd Identification
