Empowering anglers with best practices: Learn about current research efforts and how you can help put conservation into action each time you catch a striper. This event is free but registration is required by May 9th. Seating is limited and we already have almost 70 participants registered so don't wait to sign up!
Presentation line up:
Local guide, fly shop owner, and Cheeky Ambassador Abbie Schuster will discuss early season striped bass fly fishing tactics.
Dr. Andy Danylchuk, professor of fish conservation at UMass Amherst and Sascha Clark Danylchuk from Keep Fish Wet will have an interactive discussion on best practices of handling striped bass. Olivia Dinkelacker, UMass graduate student, will give an update on her two year research project on post release mortality of striped bass.
Hosted by Cape Cod Trout Unlimited in partnership with Keep Fish Wet, UMASS Amherst, Cheeky Fishing, Kismet Outfitters, Cape Cod Flyrodders, Osterville Anglers Club, Cape Cod Salties and South Shore Fly Casters.
Pizza will be served and there will be a great raffle with awesome gear and apparel.
Park in lots 7-9 and follow the path up to building #6, the Wilkens Science & Engineering Center.
