Streamside Cleanup Along the Mississippi - A CX3 Twin Cities Event

Help cleanup up the Mississippi River! A CX3 tradition, we always join together with local volunteers as the event closes to leave our host city - and a river flowing through it - a little cleaner than we found it. Join us on Sunday morning as we gather for cleanup with our partners from the Wakan Tipi Center to clear trash along the river walk trail - improving the health of the river and a valaubale community recreational resource. Following the cleanup, we’ll gather together for a shared meal and a chance to tour the newly-opened center which honors the Waḳan Ṭípi Cave as a Dakota sacred site and serves as an intergenerational gathering place that honors Waḳan Ṭípi and Wic̣aḣapi as sacred sites and place of deep significance to the Dakota, Ho-Chunk and Ioway nations.
