Stream Explorers: Aquatic Insects and Water Quality: A CX3 Portland Event

Tom Danielson is an aquatic biologist with the Maine Department of Environmental Protection. Currently, he leads the Aquatic Toxicology Unit and determines if fish are contaminated with toxic chemicals. Formerly, he coordinated biological assessments of rivers and streams with macroinvertebrates, algae, and fish.  Before moving to Maine, Tom was an Ecologist with the Wetlands Division of U.S. EPA in Washington, DC.   Tom earned a Ph.D. in Ecology and Environmental Science from the University of Maine, a Master of Environmental Management from Duke University, a Master of Public Policy from Duke University, a B.S. in Wildlife Biology from the University of Massachusetts, and a B.B.A. in Finance in the University of Massachusetts.
