Paul H Young TU will be holding its spring Camp Wa Wa Sum Getaway Weekend on May 29-31, which is the weekend following Memorial Day. Still value priced at $130 per person for the weekend.
Our spring getaway at Camp Wa Wa Sum allows you to work on your fishing techniques while making new friends, giving back to the resource, and hopefully winning a prize for the largest catch. Arrive on Friday and leave by noon on Sunday. As usual, all guests will be expected to bring their own towels, linens, toiletries, and sleeping bag. Food will be provided starting Saturday morning.
A choice of conservation activities will be available Saturday morning: helping Bob Thorsen continue his multi-decade bug survey database on the Manistee, or repairing the cages that protect our young, growing cedars on the South Branch. Lunch included with both. Dinner is at 6:00ish. Apart from these defined activities, the weekend is for fishing, swapping stories, and making new friends. Reservations will remain open until all 24 beds in the lodge are spoken for. You can pay at the door, but your risk is that the lodge is full. The registration fee includes your lodge stay, meals on Saturday, and continental breakfast Sunday morning.
