Join us for an evening of free fishing instruction, with an emphasis on fly fishing, and celebration with the people who help keep our rivers cold, clean and fishable.
As part of our 20th anniversary of conserving and restoring fish habitat in the last frontier, we invite you to join us for an evening of shared fishing knowledge and community. Come learn about the gear and skills you need to get started or level up your fishing. Come nerd out about all things fishing and get all your fishy questions answered. All ages and experience levels welcome.
We will have stations set up for:
- Casting practice
- Knot tying
- Gear selection
- Rod set-up
- Fly selection
- Fish handling
- ADF&G Booth on youth fisheries & rod loan program
- Kid’s activities, including an obstacle course!

Food will be available for purchase from Yeti Dogs Food Truck until 7pm. This is a free event open to the public. No registration required, but please RSVP here.
