Silver Creek Tree Planting - National Public Lands Day Celebration
Anglers, river stewards, and neighbors - join us as we care for and enjoy Michigan's Silver Creek with a streamside tree planting in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service - Huron Manistee National Forests.
This planting will complement restoration work that Trout Unlimited and the US Forest Service carried out to construct a new road stream crossing to improve fish passage.
Planting tools and supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring gloves. We recommend that participants wear sturdy shoes or muck boots and water.
This event is family-friendly. All are welcome!
For directions, please enter 44.377502, -83.601872 into Google Maps or other navigation systems. We will meet at the former Silver Valley Campground. Volunteers are welcome to stay as long or as little as you'd like.
