Dr. Andrew Gascho Landis (Associate Professor at SUNY Cobleskill) and his students have partnered with DEC's Steve Swenson to develop a fine tree planting program for a plot of streamside property on Tauzel Farm. Mr. Tauzel and his family have been working with DEC, Otsego County Soil & Water, and Clearwater Trout Unlimited to offer stream restoration opportunities on this unique wild brook trout stream.
Join us on Friday, April 22nd at 9:00AM for a tree planting event on the Schenevus Creek. Location will be on Tauzel Farms at 129 Muehl Rd #4116, Schenevus, NY 12155.
TU tree plantings are great ways to engage the entire family - so bring out your kids and grandkids and help teach them the importance of working together as a community to care for and recover our rivers and streams.
We'll have some tools available, but volunteers are encouraged to bring their own gloves and shovels.
