Volunteers Needed for Stream Structure Rehab at Sarah’s Creek!

Meet at Sarah’s Creek Campground at 8:30 AM for an orientation and safety briefing before work begins at 9:00 AM. See email from 8/26 for details. To sign up, email Prez Jeff.

Attendees should bring work gloves, eye protection, wading attire, raincoat, a dry change of clothes, any necessary medications, and drinks and snacks.

We’ll spend a Saturday morning refilling the rock cribs on old DNR stream structures so they function better. These log structures date to the 1970s and their rock reinforcements have been washed out by decades of floods. Our work will make those dams and deflectors more effective for stockers and resident wild rainbows.
