Roses Creek Tree Planting with Advocate Health
Details
Help Roses Creek and the Armstrong Creek Watershed recover from the impacts of Hurricane Helene by volunteering for a native tree planting volunteer event. Meet us at the Armstrong Creek Fish Hatchery on May 18th, 2026!
This volunteer event, co-sponsored by Trout Unlimited, is made possible thanks to support from Advocate Health and the Arbor Day Foundation.
Trout Unlimited has planted and distributed more than 15,000 trees in areas impacted by Hurricane Helene since 2025. The Arbor Day Foundation’s Community Tree Recovery program aims to replace trees in communities affected by natural disasters throughout the United States. The program has helped distribute more than 5.3 million trees since its inception in 2005. Working with Trout Unlimited, the planting will help restore streambanks damaged by flooding, reduce erosion and enhance habitat for local wildlife.
All volunteers are being asked to fill out this online waiver in advance of the event: www.tu.org/treevolunteerwaiver
