Rhode Island Trout Unlimited cordially invites you to join us for our Annual Fundraiser Banquet and Auction. This year we are honored and excited to welcome Macauley Lord as our guest speaker.

Macauley trains fly casting instructors around the world. He started as a professional fly casting instructor at L.L. Bean in 1986 and became their head fly fishing instructor in 1996. Forty years later, he still teaches there. He passed his Master Casting Test in 1995 and began administering the MCI Test in 1996. He edited the Loop, the quarterly journal for fly casting instructors beginning in the late 1990's and received the Lifetime Achievement Award in Casting Instruction from Fly Fisher's International in 2011. He is the author of the L.L. Bean Fly-Casting Handbook Revised Edition (Lyons Press, 2007), co-author of the L.L. Bean Ultimate Book of Fly Fishing (Lyons Press, 2006), and for ten years was the fly-casting columnist of American Angler Magazine. He is a chaplain, a seminary graduate and has drafted a book about the legacy of American slavery. Everyone in the book fishes.
