Resurrection Creek Planting Day
Details
Join us for a day of planting native vegetation to restore fish habitat on Resurrection Creek in Hope. Resurrection Creek is in the middle of a major restoration effort to restore over two miles of in-stream and 74 acres of riparian habitat.
This is a great opportunity to get involved with hands-on restoration and revegetation of a creek that hosts five species of Pacific salmon and trout while learning more about the larger restoration project. Come out to connect with the land and community and make a real difference.
Enjoy a day of fun with:
-
Interactive kids’ activities
-
Free lunch for all volunteers
-
Local watershed experts sharing knowledge
-
Project leaders discussing the overall restoration project on Resurrection Creek
We’ll provide all the materials and gloves for the first 75 volunteers, but bring sturdy shoes and be prepared to get your hands dirty!
This event is brought to you by Trout Unlimited, the U.S. Forest Service, the National Forest Foundation, NOAA Fisheries, Allen Family Philanthropies, and the Student Conservation Association.
Please RSVP through facebook. While RSVPs aren’t required, it helps us plan food. Come plant, learn, eat, and celebrate salmon habitat stewardship with us!
