Poestenkill Volunteer Days - 10/15 & 10/16

On Sunday October 15, at 10 am we will meet at the DEC fishing access on Garfield Road in Poestenkill to clear roadside brush, remove invasive vegetation, and pick up trash in the vicinity of the parking area and streams.  The plants will arrive on Monday October 16 at 10 am for planting that day. A hearty attitude, work gloves, sturdy shoes, a shovel and clippers are recommended, as is insect repellent and work clothes. Come one or both days! 

The Home Waters Trout Unlimited Chapter spans across Rensellear County and encourages the local community to join in on our efforts to maintain and improve our streams and rivers. Trout Unlimited members are a passionate group of anglers and conservationists, striving to keep the places we love as beautiful and wild as possible. The Home Waters Chapter meets in person on the 2nd Thursday of each month, from September thru June at the Bailey Mountain Fish and Game Club, 531 Snyders Lake Road, Wynantskill, NY 12196.
