Every River Needs A Champion and you can help!

The Konkapot is a beautiful stream with many unique bends and features along its course, which includes a portion that passes through New Marlborough. Trout Unlimited has completed work to not only improve in-stream habitat for wild trout, but generating design solutions to aid to the local community in challenges of hazardous flood mitigation.

Join local supporters, volunteers and watershed partners for a fun day of tree planting and community fellowship along the Konkapot as we help the stream establish a natural forested buffer. The event is free and open to the public. Bring a friend and come join us along the banks of Konkapot.

What to bring: Wear boots that can get muddy!!

Please be sure to bring a reusable water bottle, work boots, sunscreen. Feel free to bring gloves or a favorite shovel, we will have plenty of both on hand. We will also have herbal tea for all volunteers.

Bring you rod if you wanna fish afterwards.
