Work alongside PMTU to conduct a temperature assessment of the Pere Marquette watershed to help inform future restoration work! Volunteers are needed to deploy and retrieve temperature loggers across the watershed to collect this important data.
Volunteers will meet at the Pere Marquette River Lodge to get materials and receive a brief in-person demonstration, after which you will deploy loggers at pre-assigned locations. We anticipate that volunteers will be done by early/mid-afternoon.
You will then be responsible for retrieving loggers in late September/early October and dropping them off at a central location in the Baldwin area. *It is important that you can commit to both the spring deployment and fall retrieval of loggers.*
All volunteers will need to attend the training webinar or view the recording prior to June 3rd. This webinar training session will provide an overview of the goals of the assessment, logistics, and protocols for deployment and site documentation.
