This is an Optional Field Trip for the Cornell students of PE1311 to Dende's Pond in Lansing. The field trip will occur Saturday afternoon, September 20th, 2025, from 1:30pm to sunset. You can arrive or leave at any time.

Dende's Pond is located at 25 Armstrong Rd, in the Town of Lansing and is where previous Fly-Fishing classes used to be transported to fish. It has a healthy population of sunfish and largemouth bass, with portably some "lunkers". The pond is only seven miles from Teagle Hall. Students will need to transport themselves to the pond, but it would be a short Uber or healthy bike ride.

This Field Trip is sponsored by the Canandaigua Lake chapter of Trout Unlimited and the Twin Tiers Five Rivers FFI club. All fly tackle will be provided by the TU and FFI groups. A canoe will be loaned to the event by Gordon Mueller.

Please register for the event by getting a free PE1311 Optional Field Trip ticket, so that TU and FFI know how many fly rods to bring to the event.
