Join TUAK and the Southcentral Alaska Chapter of TU in Palmer to learn about history of Susitna River rainbow trout management and research, how to target trout seasonally, where to access and fish, and which fishing gear and technique to use.
Our speaker, Daryl Lescanec, is a fisheries biologist in Palmer responsible for ADF&G management weir projects. He grew up in Alaska, fishing in the Mat-Su Valley. He started working for ADF&G in 2002, spending 10 years in the hatchery system before coming to Palmer in 2012 as a biologist. He worked on the Susitna River rainbow trout mark-recapture project from 2006-2008.
We will see you in Matanuska Brewery's Event Room. We will have light appetizers and snacks available. Beer will be on tap to purchase. Doors open at 6, with the goal to begin the presentation about 6:15. No tickets required. TU members and non-members welcome.
For those who cannot attend in person, you can attend online via this link: https://troutunlimited.zoom.us/j/87363906262
