Paiute Meadow Willow Planting at Susanville Ranch Park

Get busy like a beaver and help plant native willows along the recently restored Pauite Meadow!

This fun, free and family-friendly event is a great way to connect with the community and make a difference for water quality, ecosystem health and watershed resiliency.

Volunteers and participants can come for the whole time, stop in to help out for an hour or two, or just swing by for a few minutes to learn what's going on and how this work is benefitting Susanville and the surrounding area.

The schedule for the day includes:

8:30 a.m. - Registration sign in, networking and coffee and snacks
9:00 a.m. - Project overview, volunteer training
9:30 a.m. - Willow cutting, tree planting and educations site walks
1:30 p.m. - Free celebratory lunch for all volunteers

This event is a partnership between Trout Unlimited, Symbiotic Restoration, Honey Lake Resource Conservation District, Lassen County and the town of Susanville and is funded by Trout Unlimited, Tractor Supply Company with support from the California Department of Conservaiton.
