Join us on Saturday, July 19th @ 10 AM for the Onesquethaw Trash Cleanup!
The Rupert Road NYSDEC Public Fishing Access is a popular spot for trout angling on the Onesquethaw Creek. With Summer's boost in recreational traffic, anglers from the Clearwater Trout Unlimited Chapter have also noticed an increase in trash and waste found in and along the creek at this stretch. We're hoping to see locals who are new to the stream and those who have visited it for decades, come on out and help us take good care of this most unique public fishing access for trout in Albany County.
Volunteers can sign up here to help us get a head count and prepare a sufficient amount of trash bags, water, snacks and additional cleanup items. The Town of Bethlehem's Rupert Road Transfer Station, is adjacent to the parking lot so the collection of trash will be quite simple. We'll meet in the lot at the blue Trout Unlimited tent at 10am to go over the goals and review a map of the available public access we can focus on.
