Join the Overmountain Chapter of Trout Unlimited for our August chapter meeting featuring special guest speaker Jim Habera from the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency.
Jim will be discussing recent electroshocking studies conducted across the region and what those surveys are teaching us about our local trout fisheries. He will also share updates on exciting brook trout reintroduction efforts planned for several local streams and the ongoing work to restore and protect native brook trout populations in Northeast Tennessee.
Whether you’re interested in fisheries science, native trout conservation, or just want to learn more about the work being done in our local watersheds, this will be a great meeting you won’t want to miss. We hope to see you there!
Dinner and social time begins at 6:00, the presentation begins at 7:00. We will be providing buffalo wings and cookies for attendees. If you’d prefer something different, food and drinks can be purchased at the deli line downstairs in Food City. Please note that external food is not permitted.
