​Overmountain Trout Unlimited wants to hear from you!

For our April Meeting, we will be having Jeff Wright (Trout Unlimited Southern Appalachian Programs Manager) and our board members share some of the recent, ongoing, and planned projects and initiatives by Overmountain Chapter Trout Unlimited. Afterwards, we want to focus the majority of the meeting soliciting feedback from our community and members on some of the biggest challenges in front of us as an organization. We intend to record and then use these ideas in the board of director's upcoming strategic planning meeting where we will be setting the framework for the next five or so years of our organization. While we welcome feedback on any topics that you are willing to share, here are a few key challenges we'd like to hear from you about:
 

• Continuing Hurricane Helene recovery in our region

• Addressing a declining membership / volunteer base

• Progressing projects in a climate with limited federal agency support

• Identifying new opportunities to convert current financial resources into projects that advance our mission

Ideas shared with us should generally align with the mission of Overmountain Trout Unlimited: "To conserve, protect, and restore coldwater fisheries and their watersheds"
