Registration includes Bump Board and Call Card to be used in the competition, plus an official OMTU 2024 Fishing Tournament Neck Gaiter.

Kickoff will be announced via OMTU’s website and facebook page on October 4th at 5:00 PM. Grand Champion of the Tournament will be awarded to the person with the best overall score.

TO SIGN UP
Fill out a registration form on OMTU.org by October 2nd and pay the $30 Entry Fee. Results will be split into three divisions: men, women and youth (17 and under).

WHERE
OMTU’s region of Tennessee: Watauga, South Holston, and Nolichucky watersheds. Kickoff will be via announcement on OMTU’s website and facebook page on October 4th at 5:00 PM. All rivers, lakes, and streams are fair game, but you must stay within OMTU’s regional boundaries. No pay pond or guided fishing, please; anyone found in violation will be subject to disqualication from the event.

You will take a photo of every fish you catch that you wish to enter, next to your call card, on your bump board. Your call card must have the secret passcode, which will be announced on the afternoon of October 4th, written with black sharpie and visible on the call card in the photograph of the fish. Please send photos to tournament judges at overmountainTU@gmail.com. Every photo submitted will be acknowledged by an OMTU judge with intermittent updates of leaderboards being placed on the OMTU Facebook page.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
Top 3 trout (length) caught by each person will be scored. The sum of the lengths of these fish in inches will be the final score for that person. Brown, Rainbow, and Brook Trout all count. Brook trout will be given 2x the points at the time of scoring to offset size inequalities between them and the other species. Scoring will be as below.

Scoring Example:
Person A 14.5" Brown Trout, 15.25" Brown Trout, 8" Brook Trout
Score 14.5 + 15.25 + 8 (x2)
= 14.5 + 15.25 + 16 = 45.75 pts
