Saturday, April 23, 2022: Two events happen today. One exciting event is the release of trout fingerlings that are being raised by six schools that are participating in the Northwest Arkansas Trout in the Classroom educational project. The second is our annual “Trash for Trout” river side clean-up is planned at the Beaver Dam tailwater of the White River.

Rendezvous location: Dam Site Park parking lot below Beaver Dam

Time: 10:00 a.m. kickoff with the release of trout fingerlings at the boat launch below Beaver Dam. Then about 10:30 a.m. we will regroup at the Dam Site Park parking lot and hand out assignments to teams for trash pickup. Trash bags will be provided but bring your own gloves. Following the clean-up, a hamburger lunch will be provided. For meal planning purposes preregistration is encouraged. Adults who preregister online and are present the day of the clean-up will be eligible for a door prize drawing. Tickets the Youth door prize drawing will be handed out at the event.
