Nov. Monthly Chapter Meeting & Presentation- Maximize Your Euro Nymphing Technique

At our November meeting, Chris Preston will share his expertise on European nymphing and how to get started in this highly productive method of fishing. Chris will begin with a little bit of the history of Euro nymphing and then get right into it!- he'll delve into the gear: rods, reels, leaders needed. Chris will also share his favorite rigging options and effective flies to use. Lastly, he will explain the versatility of Euro nymphing rods and how they can be used for other fishing scenarios beyond Euro nymphing if you are interested in catching fish in general!

 

Chris Preston has been an avid fisherman his whole life. He says “he will fish for anything,” whether it's bluegill, crappie, carp, trout. He's been fortunate to be able to fish for Peacock Bass and Payara in Colombia, Golden Dorado in Bolivia and trout in Argentina and Chile. After selling his own business, Chris became a guide for Vice Outdoors. He is also a professional fly tier for John Wolter, owner of  Anglers in Boise, and is an invaluable volunteer at the Idaho2Fly which holds retreats for men dealing with cancer diagnoses.
Although Chris has enjoyed many types of fishing over the last several years, he has developed a special love for and expertise in Euro nymphing. He knows the strategies, gear, rigging and unique flies to make this one of his favorite and most productive methods of fishing!
