Estuary, beach fishing and how to fish the flatwing style fly
Joe Cordeiro will discuss reading the water and
understanding the fishing environment. He will be focusing his presentation on
the types of bait fish in the estuaries and beaches. A feature of the
presentation will focus on the awareness of how to fish the flatwing style of
flies to catch more fish in freshwater and saltwater.
A Flatwing tying demonstration will proceed directly after
the presentation The focus will be on
the single feather and multi feather flatwing flies.
Joe Cordeiro
Joe Cordeiro has been tying flies for over 25 years. The past 10 years focusing on teaching, presenting at shows and marketing saltwater flies. Joe has been fishing his entire life growing up near Cape Cod. Fly-fishing has been his main focus for many years. His salt-water fly patterns have been tested in waters for their imitation of the bait they mimic. Many of his patterns are lifelike imitations. The materials used are natural and add to the authenticity of the product. Joe’s style and tying technique have caught the attention and admiration of many seasoned fly tiers and his passion for the art is evident. Fly Tying is not just a hobby for this man it is a passion. He currently guides out of Scituate, MA from shore and travels the cape and the islands in search of fish.
Greg Cordeiro
Greg Cordeiro has followed in Joe's footsteps and learned the art of fly tying from his father. He has been fishing the cape and the islands from an early age for about 25 years. He is also a product designer and specializes in footwear and apparel.

The event is free, but donations are appreciated to cover costs of the venue and guest speaker

If you attend in person, doors open @ 6:00 PM. If you get there early you can help set up :)
