Join us on Saturday, October 18th to help restore a healthy riparian buffer of native trees and shrubs along the Norwalk River in Wilton!
Over the past year, the Mianus Chapter has been hard at work to restore the riparian area along School Road in Wilton. We've already gotten started clearing a 300 yard stretch and planted over 150 native trees and shrubs this past Earth Day! Our goal is to continue this project along the length of School Road. Help us get ready for our big restoration planting on the 25th!
Meet us in the parking lot at the Wilton High School Tennis Courts (Kristine Lilly Way / School Road) at 10 am and we'll walk over to the site! We'll be chopping up vines and invasive species so definitely bring sturdy footwear, long pants and long sleeves! We'll provide all tools and equipment like gloves and loppers.
Special thanks to the Elizabeth Raymond Ambler Trust and Sustainable CT for the support to make this project happen!
