Norwalk River Streamside Walk & RIVERS App Training

Join us for a wintery streamside walk and RIVERS app training along the Norwalk River with Mianus TU President Gerald Berrafati. Gerald will be welcoming the local watershed community to take a look at a previously removed dam site, run through TU's tools for streamside surveys, and more. The group will be meeting at Jensen Field in Ridgefield at 1pm on February 22nd. Gerald will give the group a tour of the removed dam before splitting off into teams to continue walking up through Topstone Road / RT 7, around Branchville train station, Copper Pond Brook, and up near Nod Hill Brewery. After the walk, we'll meet up at Nod Hill for a pint and open social. Be sure to dress warmly and feel free to prepare any questions you might have for Gerald on the Norwalk River or additional local watershed conservation efforts hosted by Mianus TU Chapter and TU's Northeast Coldwater Conservation Staff.
