See first-hand how the Norwalk River is being reborn thanks to the work of Trout Unlimited and countless local partners. This event is free, open to the public and all are welcome.
We'll enjoy a casual walk along a smooth river trail to see stream restoration sites, riparian planting projects and - most exciting - a live dam removal taking place currently to re-open over 7 miles of river to sea-run fish. If we're locuky, we may spot native sea lamprey spawing in the river for the first time in 125 years!
We'll celebrate the success of our partnership with the town of Wilton, Save the Sound, Wilton Land Conservation Trust, Wilton Go Green, Norwalk River Watershed Association, Southwest Conservation District, Norwalk River Valley Trail and many, many more which has made this decades-long work possible.
