Neponset River Spring Clean-Up

Join fellow GBTU members and other volunteers for the NepRWA annual spring cleanup on Saturday, April 26th from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. 

 This year GBTU leadership will be leading the cleanup at the Neponset River Canoe Launch, just off route 1 in Norwood, where we can get into the water to remove tires, shopping carts and all sorts of trash below the water line.   We also need a few canoes/kayaks to navigate the river and help transport the trash.   If you own a canoe or kayak, please plan on bringing it along with your waders. 

 Please register for the event  and sign up for the “Neponset River Canoe Launch with GBTU” site.  When you register, please use the “My Comments Box” to indicate if you can bring a canoe or kayak.

GBTU members are welcome to participate in the NepRWA cleanup at any of the sites, but if you want to be part of the GBTU team getting into the river, plan on bringing your waders and joining us at our GBTU-led site.  

 Thanks to dedicated volunteers, NepRWA's biannual cleanups have removed over 50 tons of trash and debris from the Neponset Watershed in the last 10 years. This work has made the river cleaner,safer, and more accessible for both wildlife and the community.
