Neponset River Fall Cleanup
Join hundreds of volunteers as we clean up the waterfronts and parklands at sites all across the Neponset River Watershed!
We need all kinds of volunteers! Yes, we need people to lift heavy things, but we also need help lifting light items, checking people in, cataloging treasures we find, and taking photos. There’s a job for everyone!
Sign up with your friends, family, scout group, green team, and co-workers! Children under the age of 15 need to be accompanied by an adult.
Sites include:
- Squantum Point, Quincy
- Neponset Landing, Quincy
- Tenean Beach, Dorchester
- Granite Ave., Dorchester
- Riverside Ave., Milton
- Neponset Greenway Canopy Walk, Mattapan
- Edgewater Drive, Mattapan
- Canton Park and Ride, Canton
What to expect:
- We will provide trash bags, trash tongs, rakes, shovels, gloves, hand sanitizer, and bug spray.
- Please plan to bring hats, sunscreen, water, snacks — and any favorite work gloves (we will also have gloves on-site for you.)
- Long pants and closed-toed shoes are recommended for terrain and poison ivy.
- You can choose the site you wish to be at when you register.
Stay tuned — more sites may be coming soon! Please let us know if there is a location near you that could use some TLC!
Please register for the event here!
