Our annual Naugtauck River Trash & Cast trip is one of our favorite fall outings where we mix our passions for keeping rivers clean and healthy and for chasing beautiful fish in stunning places. If you've never been to the Naugatuck, or never fished for Atlantic Salmon, this is a great way to learn a new river and to have a good chance of seeing and hooking up with these large, hard-fighting fish.
We'll start the day with a trash cleanup along the banks of the river at 9 a.m. (feel free to arrive earlier to fish beforehand) and then head out to fish. Around 1 p.m., we'll fire up the grills for a streamside lunch of burgers, dogs and good cheer!
Chapter volunteers will provide insights and advice on where to go, and we can lend fly rods and gear to anyone who needs to borrow them.
This trip is perfect for families, beginner anglers and is free and open to the public.
